Dr. Cindy Romanowski, MD is a board certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation who has been educating patients and their families preoperatively for almost 20 years. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Director of Patient Education and Rehabilitation at Joint Reconstruction Orthopedic Center. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo undergraduate school where she earned a BS in marketing. She earned her doctorate in medicine from University of Buffalo School of Medicine four years later and presently is the Director of Orthopedic Rehabilitation for Catholic Health System, Buffalo, New York. Her protocols on home discharge and integrated home physical therapy for joint replacement patients are a model emulated by many practices. She has presented internationally on topics including post operative pain management in joint arthroplasty surgery and preoperative education programs.
